A Research Of The Function And Conduct Process Of Medical Social Work In The Doctor-patient Relationship

Recent years,with the occurring of medical disputes.people pay more and more attention on the doctor-patient relationship.Our society need an effective solution to deal with the adverse medical events and ease the increasingly severe doctor-patient relationship.This article using the medical social work project based on S hospital of Anhui province as an example,through the introduction and reflection of medical social work in orthopaedic and cerebral palsy,studied the function and conduct process of medical social work.From the beginning,the reasons which cause the nervous of the doctor-patient relationship mainly includes two aspects of micro and macro. In the micro aspect.on the one hand,the lack of resources and information may cause the low quality of medical services,on the other hand,it may make it harder for both sides to get the related support and help in time.And the lack of trust and communications also intensified the contradiction between each other. In the macro aspect, the basic medical system in China is still the fundamental reason of doctor-patient conflicts.In the process of promoting the benign development of the doctor-patient relationship,the function of medical social workers began to appear and more and more hospitals also began the exploration of local medical social work.Through ing the two months project in S hospilal.the author analyzed the functions and utilities of social workers. First of all. through constructing the buffer platform to ease the pressure of doctors and patients and building the communication channels to promote the communication of each other.Second,working with medical staff to solve the psychological problems of the patients.Next, integrating internal and external resources.Last but not the least,gathering data and providing information for government.Combining with the concrete practice of the project of medical social worker in S hospital, this paper also explored the four steps to carry out the medical social work in the children’s hospital:prophase investigation, event planning and execution, resource integration.service evaluation.Throughing the early investigation to judge the possibility of the carrying out of the project.Planning the conduct of regular service and theme activities based on the specific situation.Integrating the internal and external resources and making evaluation of each activities.ln fact,based on the characteristics of the children in S hospital,social workers also used play therapy to make them feel more comfortable.This made a big effort and provide experience for other hospitals.
