Research On Development Strategy Of Shaanxi Yanchang Coal Yulin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd

With abundant resources and centralized energy, China’s western region is well known as China’s Silicon Valley of energy. For the purpose of giving full play to the comprehensive advantage of rich oil and gas resources in Jinbian, Yulin, implementing local transformation and improving developmental efficiency, Shaanxi Yanchang Coal Yulin Energy and Chemical Co. Ltd., which is jointly established by two large state-owned enterprises, Yanchang Petroleum Group and China Coal Energy, has stimulated the adjustment of industrial structure of Yanchang Petroleum Group and pushed forward the construction of energy and chemical basement in northern Shaanxi. Except for taking core role in west economic transformation, its strategic intent and strategic choice also reflect the important meaning of grasping opportunities and meeting challenges for Chinese enterprises in west.Therefore, directing at Yulin Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd., this paper mainly state that how to play initiative and creativity under the context of economic transition, how to use scientific strategic-management methods, and how to achieve the innovation in corporate strategic management practice.Based on detailed summary of domestic and foreign literature and full analysis of macro-strategic environment, industry environment and corporate strategy environment, this paper puts forward a comprehensive and systematic exposition on the developmental strategy of Yulin Energy and Chemical Company, make a scientific development strategy by SWOT analysis, due to the qualitative and quantitative strategic objectives, including energy utilization strategy, which is about to achieve a variety of resources and enhance the complementary advantage of gas, oil and salt, recycling economy strategy, energy conservation strategy and others. Combined with development opportunities, it also produced a new way to use petrochemical raw materials with full portfolio of company resources advantage and comprehensive utilization of resources. Meanwhile, it proposed safeguard measures from five aspects, including organizational structure, human resources, capital investment, corporate culture, and risk control.This study provided a new method to fully utilize resources and technological advantages for Yulin Energy and Chemical Company to achieve its strategic goal, which not only can improve the efficiency of resource use with the pursuit of sustainable development, but the implement the concept of scientific development and recycling economy through Jingbian County’s economic development. Also, It show the demonstration effect and strategic significance of the extension of Twelve Five Plan and the importance of improving the status of Jingbian chemical industry and promoting regional economic development.
