Media effects the election, especially for relying vote competitive elections. The spread of information technology and the popularity of the Internet inspire the self-media(WeMedia) to flourish. And so the discourse power of media is no longer a monopoly, and returns to the public.More personal and interactive media as a communication from a carrier, not only changed the political parties and their candidates for political communication, but also changed the way of political participation of voters,changing the political electoral process of political behavior.Firstly, this paper defines the concept and the spreading characteristics of the self-media, then describes the influence of the media for political communication and political participation to analyze that the change of the choice of political behavior.Secondly, compare Taipei city’s election environment, analyze the relationship of the youth and the self-media, and explore the phenomenon of kewenzhe to know the candidates how to organize the political campaign.Finally,self-media influence voting behavior from three aspects. Firstly,self-media breaks the pattern of Taiwan’s traditional media. Traditional media no longer holds an absolute dominant, and begins to seek more information resources from self-media,even forms an interactive media platform from circulation. Secondly,self-media reduces the capacity of political parties to mobilize the organization,enhances the influence of individual candidates, and changes voters’ political participation. Finally, since the emergence of self-media has not been able to really broke the pattern of Taiwan’s two-party system, but the space for political discourse of people in the online world is available for some people.I gathered first-hand information through friends in Taiwan and consulted a large number of local newspapers, books,document literature and network data about Taiwan to analyze self-media to influence Taiwan’s election.This article relates to the knowledge of political science and communication science.And my limited capacity for investigation hinders the further study.The materials inevitably encounter biased and incomplete information.The paper process inevitably encounters difficulties. So this paper needs to be studied further.
