Under the background of the held of18th CPC National Congress,the thesis focus on political participation of netizens, and the factors that have influence on netizens’political participation. Based on content analysis and online questionnaire survey, the thesis found that18th CPC National Congress was the first great CPC national meeting being held in microblog time, and microblog (Sina microblog) had great influence on political information rapidly delivering. Especially traditional media official microblogs of Sina website, which are opinion leaders and stimulate the netizens to participate when18th CPC National Congress was held.Meanwhile, there are much difference in ways of participation between Political events and Public events. Most of opinion leaders in public events keep silence in political events to escape the potential danger in political participation. Generally speaking, the extend of political participation of netizens in China is still very low.As for the questionnaire survey, the found is that information processing have negative influence on Internet political participation when the reader use heuristic model more than systematic model to process information. At the same time, trust in others, relatives and organizations have no influence on Internet political participation. But motivation, especially positive motivation can encourage individuals to participate online.
