Mass media has been playing the important role of channel of political participation in political field all along.As long as Internet developing and disseminating rapidly as a new mass media in recent years,Internet also becomes another important participation channel in political field.Internet has strong communication ability as it mixed several kinds of mass media type and personal communication as well.Traditional mass media has two limits to be the channel of political participation channel.The political participation based on those media is indirect and participators do not have equal power to access to those media.These two limits are hard to be solved while Internet can raise ability of the public to access to media and provide more means to political participation.From theoretical survey,Internet can consummate the channel of political participation.In the specific practice,the expression of the vast Internet space,well-developed network of organizations,greatly widening the channels for the expression of public opinion,making a wider range of participatory democracy has been the universal;When the extensive network of public expression of opinion gradually formed network,and then supplemented by the involvement of traditional mass media,the Government formed a significant impact on decision-making power;At the same time, the Internet has attracted the political communication of both political authority and the direct involvement of the public, showing that the convenience of network communication and flexibility.Of course, at this stage, the Internet itself as a result of factors such as too much open space and the representation of the Internet crowd is relatively narrow, as well as the political participation of traditional concepts and systems are still restricted to varying degrees, the Internet as an excellent channel of political participation potential to play, which still need to change from the concept, system and so further improve its efforts.
