With the growing popularity of new media technology, the communication of Chinese traditional culture appears not closely associated with it in some respects. There are still many problems in adapting to new media environment. In addition, with the society’s unceasing opening and the impact of foreign mass culture, the survival and development of Chinese traditional culture is constantly being challenged.This paper focuses on the spread of Chinese traditional culture in the new media environment, through the study of Chinese calligraphy spread of new media to explore the development issues of traditional culture. Take the Shufajianghu site as a sample, through the data analysis system CNZZ to analyze the user’s browsing habits as well as other relevant data in order to find such sites’s features and propagation rules. According to the results, with combining the analytical method of SWOT, this paper points out it’s strategic future. In addition, this article also uses the 5W theory to compare the similarities and differences of Chinese calligraphy under the traditional transmission mode and new media communication mode. Based on these analyses and comparisons, this paper aims to find out the way for the spread and development of Chinese traditional culture.
