Library service obstacle was divided into two aspects, one is service provider’s obstacle, means the library’s existing defects in the aspects of institutional supply, fund support, physical environment, technical capacity that produce obstacle to service behavior; the other is service receiver’s obstacle, means readers defects in the aspects of payment capacity, technical capacity that produce obstacles. The level of library service and service obstacle of library are opposite, means the higher service level, the fewer obstacles, vice is true. Therefore, reduce library service obstacle is one of the hottest topics among researchers. According to the research status, most scholars take the library service "obstacle-free" as a perspective to implement the discussion, but the reduction or elimination of an obstacle often limited, impossible to eliminate completely. Therefore, it is more reasonable to use “obstacle minimum” instead of “obstacle free”. Throughout the library service practice, concluding that our country’s library service obstacle was divided into four aspects: the institutional obstacle, economic obstacle, physical obstacle and technical obstacle now. System obstacle caused by library institutional defects and improper library institutional regulations. Economic obstacle caused by deficiency of library funds and readers’ payment capacity; Physical obstacle is caused by imperfect library service facilities and service environment, oversized library service radius. Technical obstacle caused by imperfect library technology equipment and readers’ insufficient technology ability. Based on the existing library service obstacle, the author in this article tries to put forward the strategy to prompt library service obstacle minimum, anticipating the librarians can find reasonable ideas and methods to prompt library obstacle minimum, providing theoretical reference to further improve the library service.
