Design And Implementation Of Campus Self-service Library System

The modern library plays an important role not only in the development of theinformation society but also in the schools. Because of the adjustment and merger of themodern university campus, or expansion and newly–built university campus cause the longway for the most readers to go to the library. What’s more, a substantial increase in schoolenrollment and the library construction all lead to the explosion of the readership and thelibrary. These several phenomena will inevitably lead to the sharing of resources and servicesof the library which can not meet the demand. So, this paper, proposes the idea of campusself-help library and from the following three aspects to discuss.First, according to the application of intelligent management system in the library at homeand abroad, the development and improvement in the intelligent management applications ofRFID technology, the steadily improvement and more extensive application of the producttechnology and performance and also the investigations and researches of the24librarysystems in Shenzhen, Beijing and other places, proposes the overall analysis of the functionsand requirements of the campus self-help library.Second, through the researches of the modern management systems in many cities anduniversities’ libraries, and the analysis of the campus self-service system, proposes the use ofradio frequency automatic identification (RFID) technology, and through the organicintegration of computer technology and internet technology, achieves the design of automaticidentification of campus self-help library’ borrowing and returning and the informationsharing.Finally, based on practical, advanced and safe to use design principles and the workingprinciple of the campus self-help Library, designs the self-system architecture, which includesthe self-circulation system, the self-accreditation system, the automatic sorting and retrievaletc. and makes the illustration about the hardware devices, parameters for each functionperformance and achieves the usage of hardware devices and software system design.
