The Comparative Study Of The Chinese And American Public Library Institution

The library institution is the guarantee of library development. In recent years, with the continuous increase of China’s comprehensive national strength, the rapid development of national economy, the deepening of public cultural service system construction, the research of library institution gets a lot of attention. In most of the countries and regions in the world, Public library have the largest number of users, the most widely coverage, the most diversified service and the most abundant collection, also have the most attention by society and the public. So the study of public library institution is conveniently.On the review of the development course of the institution of the public library system security, based on the analysis of the current system of public libraries of China and the United States, this paper comparative analysis our country public library system of the similarities and differences both in structure and content, and then put forward the measures of perfecting our country’s construction of public library system. Full-text is divided into eight chapters for four parts:the first part is chapter1and chapter2. This part mainly summarizes the selected topic background, the selected topic significance, the research status at home and abroad, research methods, research content, research emphasis and difficulty. In the second chapter from the system definition, the connotation of the public library institution, system framework, function the four aspects, this paper summarizes the institution of the public library, provides the related concept of analysis and theoretical foil for the follow-up paper.The second part is chapter three; this part reviews the important institution guarantee in the library development of the international organizations, the United States and China. And this part is the basis of comparison of the theoretical. The third part is chapter four and chapter five. This section is an important part of this paper, it respectively from the status quo, the national level, professional level, regional level and organization level combing and summary of the public library institution.The fourth part is chapter six and chapter seven. This part is the core part of this paper. Before through the combing and overview of the current public library institution both in the United States and in China, in the sixth chapter, we respectively contrast and analysis the similarities and differences from three aspects both in the United States and in China from the institution structure, content and the concept which institution contains. On this basis, in the seventh chapter the paper put forward the measures of perfecting our country’s public library institution from the national level, professional level, regional level and organization level.
