Research On Public Space Designing Of Shenzhen Mixed Low-income Housing Based On The Perspective Of Community Identity

The mass concentrated construction of affordable housing is susceptible togenerate the social gap between the rich and the poor, easily intensify the povertyaggregation, and eventually lead to social problems. However, the mixed communitycan effectively avoid the social problems. At present, the main mixed subjects ofShenzhen housing community are mainly low-rent housing group, public-renthousing group and commercial housing group.But according to field investigation,the author found that at present, the effect of Shenzhen mixed residential housingcommunity is not ideal. In the same community, there is the phenomenon ofestrangement and no mutual recognition among the groups. The author insists that itis one of the main reasons for identity crisis in these communities is theunreasonable design on community public space. Affordable housing settlements arethe window of the government housing policy and identity problems of housingdistrict community more directly reflects the fusion condition of all walks of life incommunity. The study of this paper is also expected to provide reference value forthe future research and construction of residential housing.According to this issue, this paper combines the ways of production communityidentity, mixes the requirements and characteristics of all levels in affordablehousing settlements. On the methods of research, the outstanding characteristic ofthis paper is widely using the methods of questionnaire and interview, to directlyestablish the relationship between public space and community identity, directlyacquire the residents’ demand and the data needed in this paper. At the same time,the method of consulting literature provides a more solid theoretical support for thepaper. And the author takes excellent domestic and overseas examples to discuss theproblem of how to promote the community identity on the public space with themixed residential housing public space as the research object.The research emphasis of this paper is to discuss the issues of public spacedesign from the production of community identity and the residents’ demands.Innovative points basically have the following three aspects. First，it puts forwardthe concept of mixed residential housing. Secondly, it reviews the historydevelopment of Shenzhen mixed residential housing community public space, andcooperates with the investigation and interviews, to analyze the characteristics ofdifferent classes among the community residents, and then identify the directlyimpaction of public space design on the community identity. Thirdly, combiningwith the basic way of community identity generation, this paper analyzes thefeasible ways by which the public space promotes community identity mainly include outdoor service facilities, public service facilities and residentialconstruction. Fourthly, aiming at the suggested practical ways, this paper putsforward specific strategies of space design and its design points.Finally, this article draws conclusion, the design of the public space of mixedresidential housing can promote the community identity, through the outdoor space,public service facilities and residential building space.
