The Reconstruction Of Village Public Space And Community Identity

When the reform and opening and socialist modernization step into the rural society, the traditional village is changing as never before, in particular our government attaches importance to the agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and new village construction springs up. All above are making a rapid change to the life style, space form and social structure of the village.Base on these social facts, my research will refer to the research findings of public space at home and abroad, try to put public space into use of the rural community research, and establish the analytical tools of the village public space, by the review and sort out the transformation of village public space to recognize the function and effect of public space, thereby find out the operating mechanism of village public space, to open out and make use of public space adequately.My research take a village of Baise Laihao, Guangxi as the site, make the fieldwork of sociology and anthropology, firstly combine the transformation of the village public space in historical perspective, and then by dint of the geographical, ecological, structural analysis tools on the three levels of logical analysis of modern public space, and in the form of case analyze in recent years public space influence with the identity of the community in Laihao, prospect the relation of public space and community identity or belongingness, in the end discuss the development model of public space in rural community, contribute to improve the rural public space research.
