With the rapid development of economy and the progress of the society, people depend more and more on power. Power industry has always been a high degree of monopoly because of national economic system. The reform has been made in development of power industry, such as South Power Grid Corp established in December29,2002, which is in charge of five provinces. But these reforms cannot adapt to the economic development, the reform of electric power is rising day by day. In order to better meet the needs of social development, China State Grid Corp formally put forward the implementation of the "three sets of five" on the "big planning" new grid system in2012.Among them,"intensive management of material" is far-reaching to the whole power system supplies market. New grid system brings the new challenges to tens of thousands equipment manufacturers, system engineering and the related trade enterprises, which are cling to power system. It can be predicted that how to improve the existing marketing strategy is the main problem to these enterprises in the new system of Power Grid Corp.Based on the procurement model of "intensive management of material" under the new system, according to the STP and4P marketing theory, this paper established the target market through market segmentation followed by a series of means of marketing. Combined with the actual situation of power system specific attributes and enterprises, this paper used the method of case analysis and put forward relevant improving the marketing strategy, so as to maximize the efficiency and to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises.The results show that XX communication company will have great development opportunities after a series of improvement of marketing strategy, while facing significant challenges in the new system. XX communication company could completely walk out of the road of sustainable development in the new system, if the corresponding marketing strategy developed according to its own scale, target market and social environment. The study of this paper can provide a reference for small and medium enterprises similar to XX communication company in the new electric power grid system.
