As a traditional industry, our herbal enterprises becomes animportant part in the area of pharmaceutical economy, as well as that in the internationalpharmaceutical industry. Since the reform and opening up, Chinese medicine industryhas developed rapidly. In the1990s, the output of medicine industrial grew up20%annually, and the profit growth is about24%; By the end of2001, China’s totalindustrial output value of Chinese medicine has been up to60.069billion yuan, which isabout20%for that of our pharmaceutical industrial. However, as a traditional nationalindustry, the Chinese medicine is still a bit weak in current market competitiveness, forexample, in2001, Chinese exports were only566million U.S. dollars, which is about3%-5%for the international market share of natural medicine, and it is far away fromthe China’s great power of natural medicine position. With the trend of economicglobalization increasingly significant and rapid pace of China’s economic development,the development of traditional Chinese medicine industry is facing unprecedentedopportunities and challenges, technology and innovation are the driving force toimprove the international competitiveness, and increasing its global pharmaceuticalmarket share of sales to achieve the sustainable development of traditional Chinesemedicine industry is the purpose of this thesis.On the basis of theoretical research on corporate strategy both here and abroad, thispaper elaborated the definition of corporate strategy, strategic type, motivation analysisand measurement methods. Studying from H in the pharmaceutical developmentstrategy, a comprehensive and detailed analysis of its development status and existingproblems has been displayed.
