| Food safety is a heated social issue, which has attracted close attention from the c ommunity. Accidents referring to food safety occurred each year have led to serious c onsequences, from enormous economic losses to highly threatening public safety and health. Therefore, endeavors on food safety had been put on the first of the agenda by governments of each country, including strengthening supervision and management a nd preventing food safety incidents. To a certain extent, food safety has become an im portant aspect to measure people’s quality of life, social management and the national legal system construction. However, the current situation of China’s food safety is not optimistic and acc idents have occurred frequently which has seriously affected the co nstruction of harmonious society and the image of the party and the state. Therefore, i n this paper, the problems of food safety, the current supervision mode in China, the f ailure of food safety policy and solutions to these problems have been analyzed, hopin g to provide reference for government decision-making.Focusing on food safety problem and food supervision, this paper/thesis first makes an analysis of serious food safety accidents at home and abroad, and then summarizes similarities and risks of food safety problems. In addition, by comparing regulation system in China to concentrating/centralized system worldwide, different characteristics between the two systems and the subjective and objective causes of food safety problems in China are exposed in this paper. At last, on the basis of the public policy analysis, contrastive analysis of (different) supervision patterns (models) and management theories on food safety, this paper also gives opinions on the present problem and prospect of food safety issue in China. |
