Radio transmitters are generally located in the mountains or in remote areas,in order to monitor the working status of the transmitter timely, reduce theintensity of staff, and strength the management and control of each transmitter, itis necessary to develop reliable transmitter remote monitoring system.Aiming at the transmitter running remote monitoring issues, based onunderstanding the characteristics and requirements of the transmitter, athree-layer C/S architecture is designed, which is consisted with the data storageand communication layer, business logic layer and the presentation layer, and theoverall implementation scheme of the system is given.Ethernet based on TCP/IP protocol is used with data storage andcommunication layer to realize communication of local control transmitter andremote computer, SQL Server2000relational database is used to store andmanage data, ODBC technology is combined to realize access to database.According to relational database, Paradigm developed tables and fields aredesigned, the date of processing with business logic layer is classified to thedatabase.According to the function, System logic layer is consisted of transmitterworking condition monitoring, database operations, fault diagnosis and alarm,timer switch, historical data query and generate reports and other modules. Everyfunctional module is independent. Model design method which is based onEvent-driven approach is adopted, program design of every functional module isfinished, multi-task parallel processing is realized. Aiming at room workingenvironment, real-time video surveillance program is designed, the video datacan be saved on a regular basis.LabVIEW language is used to realize presentation layer, according to theoperational requirements of each module, it is able to achieve data and statusdisplay, parameter adjustment and management control functions such ashuman-computer interaction. Experimental tests showed that the system is reliable, it is able to meet theneeds of remote monitoring transmitter.
