Application Of OLAP Technology In A Multi-database Environment

Multidimensional analysis technology is one of the techniques which used in business analysis. Compared query statistics, the business analysis has unparalleled advantages. Business Analysis can find strengths and weaknesses of business operations, forecast the future trends; help to market segments and customers, target marketing and efficient customer relationship management; assess the implementation and results of decision. The system also uses XML technology, Mondrian multidimensional analysis server and Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) syntax to integrate with the existing E-commerce cloud platform.Inventory management system platform provide software services, information technology services for a number of small and micro enterprises. System establishes a table space for each company, all companies share a set of software, system provides the same service for the enterprise.Cube design, processing speed will affect the efficiency of the display system of multi-dimensional analysis, in order to improve the efficiency of the system, this topic is completed in a multi data warehouse environment. E-commerce cloud platform establishes the appropriate warehouse for every company, and an industry-level data warehouse for the entire industry,. The multi-dimensional analysis show system can get the needed data from the corresponding data warehouse. By the process of Mondrian server, the users can perform various multidimensional operations on the browser IE8.0, such as sliced, cut, rotate, drill and so on, and realized and combination with the office software, such as export PDF, EXCEL, printouts, etc.This paper combined with the actual specific business needs,uses warehouse, OLAP, JSP technology to develop multi-dimensional display system, to provide the business intelligence services to users of the E-commerce cloud platform. The multi-dimensional analysis show system creates the cube from the data warehouse, and display the results by the technology of Mondrian server、JSP、JPivot, this paper focuses on the efficiency of the multi-dimensional analysis show system. The results displayed by intuitive two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphics through the browser IE8.0, meet the diverse needs of users, provide data support for making decisions.
