With the rapid development of information technology, there are more and moregovernment-led large-scale information technology projects. Because high technical content,wide Information integration in large-scale information technology projects, it is likely to resultscope of the project unclear which affect the implementation and acceptance of the project.X-City BRT intelligent scheduling system project is a microcosm of such project. In thispaper, X-City BRT intelligent scheduling system as an example, through analysis and research ofproject management processes and WBS, found the project scope planning, scope definition ismissing in the X-City BRT project management process, which caused the missing items andunreasonable design of X-City BRT project WBS. It did not update WBS In the projectimplementation process, and project stakeholders confirmed without timely, which causes theproject scope can not be effectively controlled and managed. Therefore, in the implementation ofthe project produce many problems, such as scope creep, rework frequently, the project scheduledelays and cost overruns.Based on the above issues, this paper based on project scope management theory, andproject scope planning, scope definition, WBS, scope confirmation and process of scope controlas a standard, to plan and delimit the background, design principle and demand of X-City BRTintelligent scheduling system project, and to optimize content WBS effectively. At the same time,also design the process of project scope verification and scope change, and set the project scopemanagement processes of X-City BRT intelligent dispatching system.Comparative analysis of the WBS, which uses standard project scope management processin X-City BRT intelligent scheduling system project and data of the project implementationprocess, it is clearly to find that the standard project scope management process bringssignificant effect to the project. It effectively solves the problems encountered during projectimplementation, also improve project quality and customer satisfaction. Finally, hope thatthrough research and analysis of project scope management of X-City BRT intelligentscheduling system in this paper, to offer some reference and help for the future similar projects.
