Scope Management On IT Consulting Project Of Small And Medium-sized Enterprises

IT consulting,or information consulting,is a kind of all-around system transformation.In recent years,the R&D of IoT,big data and AR and the emergence of Industry 4.0 in China triggered the strong demand for the application of these technologies from different industries,which caused short delivery time,high cost and ambiguous scope for IT consulting projects.Meanwhile,with the accelerated development of technology,demand accuracy has been lower while the frequency of adjustment has been higher,which brought more challenges for the implementation of IT consulting projects.How to clarify the scope and change of the projects has become the key success factor of the project.Although the project scope management is relatively mature,the strict requirements of project life cycle from the small and medium-sized enterprises prioritize the real revenue brought by project deliverables with balanced scope and cost relationship and fixed project life cycle.With the constraints of fixed project life cycle,frequent demand change and limit budget,this paper will investigate the problems existed in IT consulting projects of small and medium-sized enterprises and put forward general solutions for IT consulting project management of small and medium-sized enterprises based on the example of H company and scope management.The solution will adopt DEA to rank and prioritize demands,agile project management theory to conduct project scope management to ensure the scientificity of project scope management and the high quality of project delivery,thus bring the real value to small and medium-sized enterprise clients.The findings and results of this paper can be applied to the scope management of similar areas and projects and also bring some innovative ideas to project management.
