Equipment condition monitor and fault diagnosis is a multidisciplinary comprehensiveand practical technology. This technology is evolving and progressing,becoming more urgentin the industry production equipment. It requires safety, stable, long, full load operation, soonly keep abreast of the operational status of equipment, so it can be able to effectively pre-vent failure and reduce losses. Traditional equipment condition monitoring system are wiredto take a variety of temperatures, some of which in the industrial field of high temperatureheat. The environment is complex and small technical hitches often appear with sensor wiringdifficulties, high costs, and serious problems of signal interference. This makes the designbased on wireless sensor network mode acquisition, condition monitoring and fault diagnosissystem for transferring data particularly important.ZigBee technology is important equipment in many wireless sensor network areas, whichis a short-range, self-organizing, low complexity, low power, low data rate,and low-costtwo-way wireless communications technology. It has the advantage of covering a large areawith high-precision monitoring, and can be fast. This astounding technology can solve a seriesof problems caused by cable transmission, and can effectively monitor device status informa-tion without affecting the normal operation of enterprises.Based on the device types, topology, protocol specification, routing protocols and tech-nical that were featured in an in-depth study on ZigBee technology will be applied to equip-ment condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. The development and design of ZigBee tech-nology is based on device status monitoring and fault diagnostic systems. This includes thesystem’s hardware and software design of wireless sensor networks, system monitoring PCsoftware development and, the realization of the signal fault diagnosis. When the article first introduces the research of ZigBee technology, it describes the ad-vantages and feasibility of ZigBee, along with an in-depth study of the basic theory, devicetype and protocol specification ZigBee technology on this basis. We presented the designideas of the application and fault diagnosis system with completed designs of the overall sys-tem architecture, and designed the hardware structure of the sensor nodes and ZigBee coordi-nator node and related schematics. The article then stated the designed PC monitoring soft-ware based on LabVIEW realizes the data display and storage functions. This finally con-cluded the experimentally validated ZigBee wireless sensor network and PC-related function-al modules through the spectrum analysis. This confirmed the fault type subjects to achieve afault diagnosis system.
