Wireless sensor networks (WSN), which integrate technologies of embedded computing, distributed information processing and wireless communication, lead to a new pattern of information gathering and processing. The fundamental problems of sensor networks are deployment, coverage, locations and networking protocols. Especially, location and networking protocols have been focused as the basic problems, and were considered to be the precondition of many applications of sensor networks. The WSN node location technology based on ZigBee Protocol is studied in this paper.First of all, on the basis of analyzing the traits and structure of WSN, the thesis shows the main content of ZigBee protocol and its application on the construction of WSN. Then the thesis also elaborates that with the advantages of low power, low cost and low rate, ZigBee technology has been the one of very hot wireless communication technology, and has many sound applications such as industry control and intelligent indoor, etc.Secondly, this thesis analyzes the current main wireless sensor network's basic principles of localization algorithm, and its performance evaluation standards and classification method. As to the location of the usually RSSI methods, this thesis analyzes the auxiliary function of the LQI value, and puts forward the method of combining the both range. As to the complex calculating situation of the Trilateration, this thesis using the Bounding-inbox localization algorithm which based on the location. And this thesis improves the situation of large positioning error of using the Bounding-inbox localization algorithm. Basing on these, this thesis puts forward four beacon node B-box weighted centroid localization algorithms, then examines it's true or false in matlab simulation platform, the results show that the average positioning error is declined.Finally, this thesis analyzes existing district parking management system's demanding for the function of monitoring vehicle, and takes the district vehicle monitoring system as the practice application example, the wireless sensor network is established with the node of CC2430 communication chip on the software develop environment of IAR, then finished the improved location technology. The test results show that the network node can be well located with good precision with the improved algorithm.
