With the accelerating process of market-oriented reforms and the growingsegment of the viewing audience needs, from the1990s,, the central and localgovernments have gradually gone towards to the professional channel era, amongthem including the news channels, life channels, entertainment channels, etc. Themassed channels this paper explored are outside these channels, they always meetthe needs of more niche market segments, including finance, history, airports, etc. Inview of the actual situation of the development of local stations, this paper willdiscuss the financial channel.As the predecessor of massed channels, the passed years of specialized channelscan be described as mixed.
