Research And Implementation Of A Video Monitoring System Based On Android Smart TV

With the process of human society and the development of living standard, people make higher demands on the safety of living condition and the reliability of living quality. Meanwhile, Video surveillance is an important component of daily household security system, its importance also more highlight. Nowadays, the video surveillance technology has a qualitative leap with the rapid development of electronic technology and video compression technology, and the extending coverage area of wireless network, including Wi-Fi,3G and4G, and so on. In this paper, Smart TV has been chosen as the client for video surveillance. With the advancing of the12th-five-year plan and the strategy of "triple play", the Smart TV embedded in function of TV, Smart phone and Computer would be an intelligent center of the whole family.A video monitoring system based on Android Smart TV, where Smart TV platform with C/S structure and Android system is used to be a client and Samsung S5PV210is employed to a processor of servicer, and where take the h.264standard as video compression’s standard, and adopt RTP protocol as transport protocol, was been proposed in this paper. The research content mainly can be summarized as the following:1. Introduce this topic’s research background, analysis the video monitoring and intelligent TV research status at home and abroad, and light on the research significance of this article.2. Introduce and analysis smart TV platform, Android operating system, h.264codec technology and streaming media technology according to the key technologies. For the design and implementation of video monitoring system provided theoretical basis.3. Introduce common solutions of each function module of video monitoring system, analyses the advantages and disadvantages of various options, finally gain solution to each functional module of video surveillance system, complete the overall design of a video surveillance system. 4. Design and implement a server of video monitoring system, and construct a hardware platform of the server using the Tiny210v2, on which the proposed video surveillance system completed some works such as the Linux system transplanting, the video signal collecting and coding, and RTP package sending.etc.5. Design and realization of video monitoring system client, complete the design of client application. Create Android intelligent TV simulator on the PC, set up the Android development environment, complete the design of the user interface. Choose haier Leader commander LE42KNH7smart TV as the client, going on RTP package receiving, decoding and playback of video data, etc.Based on experimental test at the end of this paper, it shows the video monitoring system has realized the function above, and the testing result has achieved the anticipative goal. The proposed system with good development prospect will contribute to practical application.
