With the development of the WiFi and4G network and upgrading of the mobilehandheld devices,the development of applications on mobile handheld devices isreceiving more and more attention.Based on the design and implementation of theAndroid platform,video surveillance on the mobile platform is the technology that usesthe existing WiFi network to watch the surveillance video through relatively commonmobile devices.Video surveillance of the mobile platform by RTSP that Real TimeStreaming Protocol and the related software optimization, it can be watched the video inreal time. So through mobile handheld devices to watch the video meets the demand towatch the video surveillance at any places and any time.This also does not requireadditional equipment, and only needs to maintain the server.It is a very cheap way ofvideo surveillance.Video surveillance of this study is that to use the existing IP network for thereal-time processing of the demultiplexing,decoding and rendering for the IP-basedtransmission of H.264or MPEG-2TS stream through the Android-based mobilehandheld devices.It also implements video and audio synchronization, and accesscontrol technology including camera platform control and server interaction.This articledepartures from the background research and application of video surveillance tomainly do the following work on the Android platform-based video surveillance:First,this article learn the Android system architecture.And under the condition ofthe certain understanding of the Android software development level and thedevelopment environment,it studys an in-depth research on the development under theAndroid SDK and NDK environment including but not limited to building thedevelopment environment,designing UI and transplanting the third-party libraries.Then, after a comprehensive study of the decoding scheme under Android, thispaper tests several decoding scheme and chooses FFmpeg open source software asAndroid decoding scheme. On this basis,this article studys an research on the designarchitecture system of the player.At the same time,it studys video and audiosynchronization principle as well as design of broadcast and on-demand streaming in the local network.Again,on the Android platform,it realizes the player system which can play thestream through the RTSP protocol and etc,including the specific implementation ofdecoding module、rendering module、the video and audio synchronization module andthe client UI interface management.This paper also optimizes the system to ensure thatvideo can be played smoothly on the client.At last, the player system is through the functional testing and the performancetesting.
