With the development of the network technology, the development of technology of wireless sensor networks is becoming more and more popular today. Now it is one of the hot spots researched by people. It is a kind of new network, and can be used in all aspects of human life. The network technology not only integrates the MEMS technology, system on chip technology, but also integrates the wireless communication technology and low power embedded technology. It promotes the production, application and development of wireless sensor networks. Its applications are very wide, there are advantages of developments in the military field, medical field, residential areas and geography areas.Regardless of the wireless sensor network applications for which aspect, it all deploys the tiny sensor nodes in the bad environment. And wireless sensor nodes are battery powered, but because the of poor environment, the battery is not easy to replace and the energy is limited. It needs energy for sending、receiving and transmitting information. Therefore, saves the energy consumption, prolong the network life cycle is the core problem in the wireless sensor networks, it also the focus at present, so we should research it. In addition, the security of node is also one of the key that researched by us, otherwise when it transmits message, it will be subjected to the third party or malicious nodes attack. So, the trust values of nodes are very important.LEACH protocol is the most typical clustering routing protocol in the wireless sensor network(WSN), called low power adaptive clustering hierarchy protocol. It balances the energy consumption of nodes by adapting to dynamic allocation in the network. It decides the selected cluster head through a random manner, resulting in uneven distribution of cluster head, may have chosen a low energy and unsafe nodes as the cluster head, it will make the entire network unsafe. To solve this problem, this paper proposes the improvement as follows:we consider the residual energy and trust valve of the nodes as a selection factor of the cluster head. From the energy consumption of nodes, we know that the nodes have enough energy, it will reduce the probability of death nodes. From the safety point of view nodes, once we define the value of the nodes, it will reduce the probability of attacked node, improve the security of the entire network. Finally, by MATLAB simulation, the improved protocol is more desirable, in the amount of data transmission, the network life cycle and so on are better than the original leach protocol.
