Outpatient information computerization is the most challenging task of the complete HIS. Based on the scientific management of hospital and the need of the rapid development,We design and implement the outpatient information management software, which can complete outpatient registration, treatment, charging, distributing the drug and so on.The subject has good practical significance and application value.In this paper, we use the method of object oriented analysis, follow the UML (Unified Modeling Language) specification, draw the use case diagram,sequence diagram, collaboration diagram and class diagram to get the function requirement of the system and define the system design.This paper firstly uses use cases of the Rational Rose (based on UML) to get user needs. On this foundation, three layer C/S/S architecture design is put forward, the application service layer which is the core layer of the three layer structure,is further divided into the appearance of service layer, business logic layer and data access layer. Then the system functions are analyzed and designed in detail. Using the case " register " as an example, we draw the sequence diagram and collaboration diagram to realize the case function,and describe how to identify and analyze class lists based on the software architecture.Finally, the article introduces how to use COM based component program designing idea to guide the development of the system and expounds how to realize the database server, application server and client functions.This shows,the adoption of the method of object oriented analysis, structure of C/S/S system and COM component technology can shorten the software development cycle, improve the running efficiency of the application software,and extend the application of the software life cycle. This software system has high expansibility, maintainability, reusability, and have certain practical and reference value.
