The Application Research Of Distribute Object Component Technology In MIS

Now, The development of Management Information System (MIS) is guided by Information Engineering Methodology whose base idea is that data is the center of information processing and data is steady but processing is changeable. The method is important to program, analyze and design MIS. It also has a little disadvantage: the system is difficult to reuse, maintain and extend. In order to solve these problems, the technology about component and system analysis oriented to object is applied in MIS. UML (Unified Modeling Language) is used to analyze and design systemIn the analyzing and designing the financial system of naval enterprise 4810, the subsystem of matter management was analyzed according to the idea and method of Object-oriented and was made up of components. The components were carried out using Visual Basic 6.0 after object-oriented system analysis with Rational Rose 2000. The tested components must be configured and deployed on MTS servers and clients, so the component system can run.The software constituted of components can be easily reused and extended. In the developing of financial system, The functions that often were used were encapsulated into one component. The component can be used by other subsystem and even in different developing environment, which show its high reusable. When the function can't satisfy user's requirement, the new component can be designed on the base of old component, which show its extendible.There is a little potential advantage when component technology is applied in MIS. It is not only that component has lots of good specialty, but also the object-oriented analysis is nearer to reality. In addition, Microsoft issued COM+ after COM and DCOM COM+ is fit for constituting enterprise application system. Component technology will be widely used in MIS.
