With the rapid development of IC manufacturing process and users’ requirement for thefurther smaller size of electronic products; the output switch speed of the IC device and theintegration level of PCB have become higher and higher. The consequent problems of signalintegrity (IE) on PCB, caused by interconnection lines, become increasingly prominent.Signal integrity refers to a series of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) problems, includingreflection and crosstalk. Lacking reasonable solutions, these problems can lead to systeminstability or even failing to work. Therefore, SI simulation analyses before the design of PCBis of great importance. This thesis studies SI problems in the design of PCB by combining the signal integrityanalysis theories and the signal integrity simulation method.Firstly, this thesis analyzes the common signal integrity problems on PCB, makesin-depth analyses of their generation mechanism and influencing factors, lays the foundationfor further studies, mainly including the theory of transmission lines, the problems ofreflection, crosstalk and EMI; and summarizes solutions of related problems as well.Secondly, the results discussed above are verified by utilizing Hyperlynx simulationsoftware. The stimulation analyses are made focusing on the main factors that cause SIproblems and corresponding suppression measures and the validity is verified. Thus, theunderstanding of SI problems in practical application is deepened and the ability to solve suchproblems is improved. Finally, based on the theory of SI and Hyperlynx simulation software, taking a specificPCB as an example, this thesis simulates the reflection, crosstalk and electromagneticradiation of key signal network of drawn PCB by using the simulation tools Hyperlynx andthe IBIS model of components. According to the results of simulation analyses, this thesisalso puts forward some suggestions for SI problems to optimize PCB. Finally, verified by SIsimulation again, the result shows that the SI problems of optimized PCB are solved andfurther proves the actual reference value of solutions proposed in this thesis.
