Youth idol drama in China has experienced almost30years of development in the new century has become mature, and get rid of the past copying imitating painstakingly and the lack of its own positioning model, found a suitable for their survival development, become one of the main types of TV series in China. Since the new century, a number of youth idol drama hit further enlarged the influence of this type of TV series, but compared with countries such as Japan and South Korea youth idol drama, youth idol drama in the new century in our country play writing, production and marketing, brand, etc, there is a certain gap, so how to further improve the innovation in the existing foundation, make the youth idol drama to get rapid development in our country and enhance the international competitiveness is of great research value.From youth idol drama popular strategy to cut into, this paper aims to analyze and find out the popular strategies used by the youth idol drama and its practice, through this for research methodology, for our country youth idol drama innovation thinking and provide feasible basis for improvement of the overall quality, this paper USES literature research, theoretical study, comparative study method, case method and other research methods, first has carried on the definition to the youth idol drama and development overview, and sum up the youth idol drama type traits and hit the typical characteristics of youth idol drama.
