Huairou emergency underground water supply project is the biggest one in Beijing which undertakes the task of alleviating the burden of water supply in urban areas. By using advanced, reliable and stable wireless communication technologies, Huairou emergency underground water supply administration center will get the real-time video from the production sites which provide accurate, timely and first-hand information. Video monitoring system improves the level of management and has a great significance for ensuring water supply.This thesis focuses on video monitoring system based on wireless bridge technology in Huairou emergency underground water supply project. The main contents include:(1)The structure and composition of system are worked out by analyzing functional requirements, performance requirements, design principles and comparing the key technologies;(2)The idea of taking wireless bridge technology is put forward by the author to solve communication problems between the wells and the administration center. And the design and implementation process of wireless network transmission are also described in detail, such as selecting the wireless equipment, network topology structure and the antenna, calculating the bandwidth and link loss, planning frequency, and choosing network security measures etc;(3)After a detailed analysis of system background and operational effect, wireless bridge technique has been verified a feasible technology which can be used in emergency underground water supply management.Video monitoring system based on wireless network technology in Huairou emergency underground water supply project runs successfully and achieves good effects in practical application on the basis of demand analysis and elaborate design. Therefore it can be seen that wireless bridge technology with characteristics of high reliability, fast running speed, strong expansibility, easy maintenance and low cost of construction will provide a easy way to solve the problem of communication in water industry whose sites are widely distributed.
