With the rapid progress of embedded technology and quick Upgrade of Mobile Communications Technology, The Condition that embedded technology combined GPRS mobile communication technology applied to water supply monitoring system have been gradually maturing, this topics is wireless remote monitoring system based on popular ARM9 processor and GPRS technology.This system uses the advantages of GPRS technology, the combination of GPRS technology and embedded technology, to bring into play the advantages of each, thesis build up an embedded wireless monitoring system of urban supply water.Expansion of the wireless communication in module embedded platform, Make it a central control platform, to receive and process the data collected by the remote sensor networks. This thesis build RTU(Data acquisition and control terminal) based on S3c2410 and GPRS,with monitoring center management platform, this design is a general program of urban water supply wireless monitoring system based on ARM. The system has achieve basic functions such as Remote control, real-time monitoring, remote data browsing, statistics, management, at the same time the system has good scalability.This thesis firstly introduces the research background, research contents, theoretical knowledge of GPRS technology and embedded technology, on this basis gives the overall structure design of embedded remote monitoring system design. Then it analyses carefully the technology of embedded Linux system involve the development environment, boot loader, Linux kernel and the file system, it describes how to port MiniGUI, Create interfaces using Kingview software. realizes the overall function of urban water supply wireless monitoring system.
