In order to lessen the workload of the conference working staff when making the paper seat card, reduce paper waste of using the paper seat card and improve the situation of existing electronic seat card which has a single function, this paper designs and realizes an electronic seat card based on Ethernet in the way of combining practical experience with technical knowledge. This electronic seat card has many functions such as reducing paper consumption, repeated use, avoiding embarrassment and inconvenience when attendees are different, richer information and good effect of publicity.First, this paper analyzes function requirements of the electronic seat card. Then this paper puts forward the overall design and describes the hardware and software design of the system. At last, this paper completes the system debugging. The electronic seat card system mainly consists of a management terminal, embedded processors and display nodes. The management terminal has functions such as collecting picture and text information, sending pictures and text through Serial Comport and Ethernet Socket programming and processing feedback information of the touch-screen. The embedded processor is based on the ARM microcontroller LPC1768including Flash ROM and SD card information storage module by SPI mode, RS232serial and Ethernet TCP/IP communication module, and an interface module with display node. Display node contains a display module and a touch module. It also takes dual screens to display. The hardware design includes the selection of the chip, circuit design and PCB drawing board with AD09software. While the software design includes the module driver program, the upper application function with Keil uVision4software and the management terminal program with C#software.The results of the system debugging are as follows:The external screen of the display node can be used to show the name and title of attendees as well as the theme of meeting with background images. The internal screen allows attendees to view conference content and call conference services by touching it. And both of the screens display clearly and brightly. The management terminal can set and modify the content of the display node via Ethernet in time. And it takes three seconds in sending a750K image to display. The electronic seat card makes the meeting more human, more convenient, and has a broad prospect for social application.
