Design And Realization Of Electronic Display Board Based On JIT System

Just In Time (JIT) is a production system that was established by Japanese Toyota. It has been introduced into China as early as in the end 1970s, but remained not being widely applied owing to the restriction of planned economic system at that time. In recent years, the reform of economic system has been constantly deepened and domestic manufacturing seen rapid development in China, consequently, world manufacturing center has been transferred to China step by step. Driven by foreign-invested manufacturers that succeed in JIT application, more and more domestic enterprises have already started to introduce JIT production system."Just produce required products as per required quantity only when they are needed"and"Make production match schedule"are the core principle of JIT theory, and they are also the key of reducing stock and stopping waste in workshop management, directly related to the economic benefit of an enterprise.The electronic display board system described in this thesis is a supplementary function to the manufacturing and workshop modules in the original ERP system applied in an automobile company. The author had participated in the analysis, design, realization, test, trial run and acceptance of the system.In this thesis, electronic display board system is designed and developed using relevant theories and methods of information management system and database system, by means of Client/Server system structure, V-isual Basic software development tool, and based on the investigation and analysis of production situation of this automobile company as well as JIT theory. In the design and development, display board management system is employed and traditional display board is replaced with electronic one. Besides, the thesis discusses the further development and application of display board management for an enterprise.After one year of trial run, the developed electronic display board system is stable in operation, and it enables production department to be more reasonable in managing and planning production as a whole, and leads to a sound circulation of production management mechanism so that requirement of production management is met; it shortens information feedback cycle, reduces stock and ensures punctual delivery. As a result, the enterprise achieves improved work efficiency and higher production management level.
