Study Of Measurement And Control System For Electronic Governor Based On PCI Cards

This paper introduces a measurement and control system for electronic governor and researchs the character of electronic governor. It is economical, convenience and safe to examine, test and analyze electronic governor performance by using this measurement and control system.The design of the measurement and control system include the hardware and software. The part of hardware include electromagnetic motor, PCI capture cards, industrial computer and the related electronics, the power supply circuit and so on. The software system mainly includes the platform for user interface, the programming of the speed card and the algorithms of motor control.During the tests, depending on engine operating conditions, the parameter of time was set for the measurement and control system. the speed signals and the set speed signals were sent to the electronic governor ECU, then the ECU produce a signal to control the Displacement of the electronic governor's axis (For example, rack displacement diesel engine; the Displacement could turn into a 0-5V voltage signal, the voltage signal was sent to the PCI Industrial Computer acquisition card to produce a new 0～5V voltage signal, the new signal could turn intoa PWM wave to control and regulate the speed of DC motor by a certain function. Meanwhile the control system realizes show some curve in real time human-machine interface, For example, the speed curve, the displacement curve and the output voltage signal form PCI capture cards; also can realizes some tests, For example the adding load test, the reducing load test, the adding load test suddenly, the reducing load test suddenly.The sofeware is designed by the Microsoft Visual Basic, using a modular design approach, so that it is easy for to operate and use the interface friendly. The functions of the host soft system not only cloud start or park the machine and analog subtraction load, mutation load on the electronic governor performance test, but also realize to acquire real-time data, and analyses, print data, re-show the graph.The primary experiment results showed that this device could simulate the working situation of electronic governor matching diesel engines realistically and measure the main performance parameters of electronic governor conveniently. Electronic governor control system not only improves electronic governor' develop, and gradually realize the automation of the testing process, improve efficiency, reduce the cost of experiments, but also save from the security risk. Experimental results show that the system has a better and higher reliability.
