With the rapid development of Chinese economy, factories and companys have increasing demand for all kinds of automatic production lines, improving the quality of professionals working in the production line and productivity of products have become an urgent problem. Taking the situation of automatic production line lab in Chinese universities into account, this article takes advantage of advanced production line in a Nanjing university laboratory build as background, combined with "Industrial control system comprehensive training platform "and "MPS discrete control simulation system " built in our university launched a research, and created a simulation teaching system, which solves the limited equipment problems in the construction of laboratory, for the training of university mechatronics professional talent provides a new way.The simulation teaching system through the analysis and simulation of a university laboratory automatic production lines, adopts GX Developer(programming software) and GT Smulator3(configuration software) of Mitsubishi, LabVIEW software of NI, FluidSIM software of Festo, and then set the sensor application technology, electromechanical control technology, data acquisition technology, monitoring technology, communications technology, pneumatic technology, the controlled object simulation technology as a whole, built an automatic production line’s simulation teaching system. By the design of monitoring layer, the control layer, the controlled object in simulation system, the simulation teaching system achieved the anticipative targets and requirements. In the end of paper, the author discusses the problems during systematic design and debug, and proposed solutions.Realization of the system can solve the problem of equipment insufficient and the lack of funding during the university laboratory construction, the development and application of this system not only enrich teaching methods of teachers, improve student interest in learning, improve teaching effectiveness, but also provide professional teachers with experimental subjects, experimental methods and rich experimental data in a variety of conrol systems.
