| Manufacturing industry has been a backbone of the Chinese development in the latest years, growing at an exponential speed. However, this incredible development sees its limits when you reach the same level of production of others countries. In order to continue to make profits and keep the GDP at its best level with an annual growth of8%, some solutions must be found. Some new technology must be implemented. Currently, each huge company has already installed high manufacture technology and an Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), but the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) still stay little known.I have chosen two case studies to elucidate and clear up what are an MES, the best way to implement it and its benefits. Over a first phase, I will talk about a French company called Capitaine Cook, which has implemented an MES named Qubes, two years ago. This company had a high manufacture technology to make quality products. Nonetheless, the quality control on the manufacture was not good enough to reach the customer expectation. This case study helps to well-understand how to implement an MES, which are the mistake to avoid, the solution which can be found to solve usual problem if they come into being...The second company is a Chinese one named Sinopharm. This enterprise produces pharmaceutical products. I chose this company because this sector is much regulated, especially on the quality of their products. For this case study, I did a market research for the MES they can implement and the best way, according to what I learned with the French case, to install it (phase of implementation, staff shaping, problems which can be avoid before they come out...). It appears finally that PHARCIM, MES by Courbon, is the best software they can use for now. |
