At present, the monitoring technology plays an indispensable role in warehouse,logistics management and safety protection areas. In recent years, with the the rapiddevelopment of the technology of computer, the internet transmission technology andthe digital image processing technology, especially the mobile communication networktechnology, the monitoring technology’s transfer medium changes gradually from thetraditional wired network to a new type of wireless mobile communication network.Many designs of current network monitoring system mostly adopt B/S model, create aembedded Web server, and the client use the browser to access. Using B/S mode is aeasy way to build the client, and facilitate maintenance upgrade, but the B/S mode hasheavy network traffic which will affect the running speed, moreover, the customerinterface is too simple to achieve multifunction applications, in addition, due to the B/Sis based on the network to interact, the security is not good, and over dependent on thenetwork in the open network environment. Compared with the B/S mode, the C/Smode’s security is better, it has stronger specificity and more interactive interface, andlighter network traffic, faster speed, this mode can handle a large amount of data, andcan also implement the data saved locally, in a word, the C/S mode is more suitable forthe design of monitoring and controlsystem.By analyzing the video monitoring system’s development and the present situation,the design in this topic chooses the C/S mode, uses the embedded systems to build thestreaming media server, and uses the Android system to build the remote mobilemonitoring system’s client.In the topic, by researching the Tiny6410development board which is based onS3C6410, the embedded Linux-based systems, the Android operating system and itsapplication development, the streaming communication protocol and the videocompression coding technology, and design a remote mobile video surveillance system.Video capture terminal using a PC opportunity seems too bloated, and a waste ofresources, this way is not conducive to the actual application, so this design chooses theembedded Linux operating system as a server-side development platform, and designs the image acquisition, encoding, transmission and control functions. The client choosesthe Android system as a development platform, designs the client software which canreceive data, decrypt files and realize the video playback, screen shot and remotecontrolfunction.By researching the related technology, in order to complete the design of theembedded system of streaming media server and the Android mobile terminal client,realize using the client to visit the server, get monitoring data, and can also realize theremote cloud controlling functions.
