Power distribution enterprise is the important production department of power system,which undertakes the missions of power transmission, power transformation, powerdistribution and electricity services and its production business and technology managementare very heavy. In addition, the management of power distribution is the important part ofproduction management system of the power supply enterprises. And it is with widegeographical distribution, large devices in charge and frequent changes. As the fastdevelopment of national economy and substantial growth of electricity demand, theconventional labor management is hard to meet the requirement of the power distributionnetwork construction and safe operation.Distribution management system consists of geographic information system (GIS),distribution production management system, distribution network analysis and advancedapplication modules. With the continuous development of computer technology and theincreasingly sophistication of computer graphics, based on the platform of GIS, it is the basicmethod to support the distribution management by the integrated application system ofcombining geospatial information and electricity production information.Currently, the different departments of power operation are closely connected. In SZpower supply bureau, among the different operation department, there are definitelyrequirement to grasp the various technical parameters and operation situations of the operatingdevices and information such as properties of electricity users and electricity consumption size.However, distribution network is a dynamic network, and with the increase of social electricityconsumption, it has to be continuous technical improvement. Therefore, it is difficult to adaptto such a complicated power grid topology using traditional dynamic management method.In this study, the devices management and production management are analyzed. First,the main problems of distribution management at home and abroad are analyzed. In respect tothe development demand of power grid, combined with the current situation of distributionproduction and management in SZ power supply bureau, the system process of distribution devices and assets, process of rolling blackouts management, process of planned maintenancemanagement, and process of supply security management and so on are solved by GIS baseddistribution management system and using of it during the operation of distribution network.Second, combined the current computer technology, especially GIS based smart managementprocess, the standardization, systematization, informationization and automation ofdistribution network are realized, which has a practical meaning of improving the operationmanagement of distribution network.
