Since China’s reform and opening up, especially after entering the21st century, with thecontinuous development of social politics economy and culture in our country, thedemand of communication between different regions and culture is increasing day byday, the travel industry have cross-regional, cross-border cultural exchanges andinterpersonal communication features, thus obtained a great progress. By the end of2011, the national travel agency quantity is up to nearly20000, an average annualgrowth of13.3%; while travel agency team and the individual reception quantities is upto94.1million person-time, tourism industry has become a new bright spot of China’seconomic development.However, in the high speed development and at the same time, due to the blindexpansion and unsteady base, travel agency has also had a series of problems in theirown development, outstanding performance in terms of management, such as the lackof systematic in management, long-term mechanism of management not been set up,way of management too simplified, etc., which needs to be systematized, completed andinformationized.A new round of reform of information technology, which begins in the end of lastcentury makes information technology wave swept all walks of life, meanwhile, broughtprofound effect to the tourism industry. Travel agencies, especially the large andmedium-sized travel agencies began introducing informatization in the management anddevelopment, Kanghui Travel Agency and Everbright Travel Agency did better in thisrespect. But in general, our country’s travel agency are relatively lacking in usinginformation technology to management, such as the information level of varying quality,functional insufficiency of management software, superficiality of software using, andso on. Therefore, travel agency informationized management has become an elementof development in new era and the essence of the tourism industry to keep pace withThe Times demand.ORACLE database system is a group of software products which using distributeddatabase as the core, and the most frequently used database management system in theworld. It has complete data management ability, as a relational database, it is a completerelationship of products. As a distributed database, it can realize the function of distributed data processing. Oracle targeted at high-end workstations, and a smallcomputer as a server, the whole product line includes database, server and enterprisebusiness applications and application development and decision support tools. Therefore,based on the oracle travel agency management system, the design and realization of thetravel agency can help many functions such as business configuration, staffmanagement, early warning analysis, resource integration and so on.This article, from the travel agency management demand, first of all,analyzed thefunction and purpose to achieve of the management system based lots of materials andpapers, and secondly,on this basis, combined with the oracle technology, carries on themodular design and positioning of the function. And the third,which is also the mostimportant,at the same time, based on the analysis of experience and existing problemsin current management system, a framework model of travel agency managementinformation system thus formed.
