Design And Implementation Of The Seismic Data Management System Of The Seismograph Network Based On Oracle Database

China digital seismic network can service directly to the preventing earthquakes andreducing disaster. Under the support of fifteenth China digital seismic observation networkproject, the original analog recording system will gradually be replaced, this is the big leap ofthe earthquake observation. It has made it possible for us to report earthquake faster. We canget more and real earth medium and seismic source process information from seismic recordsmore easily. In order to realize the sharing and services of seismic observation data, we canbuild a database which based on Oracle to store data, and develop an application system tomanage data.This paper introduces the designing and establishment of auspice database, as well ashow to develop the auspice data management system by PowerBuilder.The construction of seismic database. Through the analysis on the Oracle architecture,combined with the application characteristics of data warehousing and using, in reference tothe relevant standards of China seismological bureau, to design the database structure andtable structure. According to design of database, we complete the establishment work ofseismic database.The development of seismic data management system. The programming languagePowerBuilder(PB) is a of object oriented programmer for database．PB has been applied tobuild a database management system, which can realize the function of data warehousing,management, export, query and analysis, also can provide convenience for user to manageseismic database.After accomplishing the development work, we can use seismic data managementsystem to manage the data by database, and reach quick query for data accessing. The systemcan make the data format to achieve standard and unity, come true uniform data management. The seismic data management system is convenient and efficient for user, can offer good helpfor the work of earthquake monitoring and prediction.
