Before the appearance of Internet technology, database industry, as a part of information industry, achieved the fastest development. The progress of Internet technology endows database industry great future. And it also leads conventional database industry to a new future, which is application of Internet services. Now Oracle Database, as a DBMS, is the most comprehensive, powerful and oriented object system. So in the modern market of database, comparing with other systems Oracle is the preferred database management system. No matter technology or market, Oracle steadily occupies the first place of database field.At the present time, comparing with other advanced industries such as finance, telecom, and civil aviation medical treatment industry locates almost the last place. With the rapid development of HIS, the application and researching of HIS becomes more and more important for many experts. The article aims at eliminating the defects of HIS, which is being used in China now. Adopting Oracle database and Oracle development kits, I have completed a Medical Cases System, which based on Web. Also I have designed and achieved the basic functions of my Medical Cases System, which based on the model of B/S.Medical Cases System is a compute application program, which used by large hospital for its management of medical cases. The system mainly includes the homepage of medical cases and the program for medical cases room. To hospitals, medical cases are the most important data source for its treatment, instruction and researching. It is a primary task for this system to offer the flexible searches and reliable result for doctors, and decrease the workload of manager.Firstly, the article introduced the current states of medical cases management, discussed the choke point of HIS, educed my project and introduced the system environment. Secondly, according to the sequence of development, I expatiated the structures of Oracle Net such as installation, configuration and so on. Then I illuminated the design of database in different phrases. Defined the software architecture, components, modules, interfaces, test approach, and data for my system to satisfy specified requirements. Utilized Forms Developer to achieve my Medical Cases System. Lastly, showed the deficiencies that should be improved in this system and opened up prospects for the system.
