The informatization of manufacturing industry is the general trend of the developmentof the industry. China is making great efforts to promote the work of the informatizationof manufacturing industry, and already has achieved certain results. However, theinformatization of manufacturing industry for SMEs (Small and Middle Enterprises) inChina is not optimistic. For electronic components manufacturing companies, theirmanagement business of product information has the following characteristics such asvariety of standards and types of products, different backgrounds of their customers,diversity of professional levels, rapid growth of business and labour costs, andintensifies of competition in the industry. The traditional artificial management for theinformations of products has been unable to meet the development demands, and itbecomes a big issue in for these companies. Therefore, in order to comply with thedevelopment trend of the informatization of manufacturing industry, and enhance thecompetitiveness of the electronic components manufacturing companies, it has greatpractical significance to research and development of the product informationmanagement system for electronic components manufacturing enterprise.The starting point of this thesis is the development status of SMEs in informationtechnology at home and abroad. By analyzing the actual circumstances of production,operation and informatization construction for TaiXing Space Appliance Co., Ltd, thisthesis summarizes the processes of product information management business, andcarries out a detailed needs analysis of the product information management system forelectronic components manufacturing enterprise. Then it brings out the design ofhierarchical system architecture and further functional module design which is based onC/S and B/S hybrid structure. Based on this design, it uses UML for system modeling andlays the foundation for the implementation of this system. Ultimately, it uses C++withQt4.7library and SQL Sever2005in VS2008to realize the data base, decision rules and UIof this system, and also list the test results for the function and performance of this system.At present, this system is applied and runs stably in TaiXing Space Appliance Co., Ltd.The running results show that the performance and functions of this system meet the actualrequirements for electronic components manufacturing enterprises, and it can fully integratethe existing information resources of TaiXing Space Appliance Co., Ltd. That putting into use this system can significantly improve the efficiency of product information management,and create some economic benefits for the enterprise. So the design of this system hascertain reference value for the development of similar software.
