Study On Literature Demands Of Archival Science In China Based On Citation Analysis

With the rapid development of information technology such as big data and cloud computing in recent years,the interdisciplinary knowledge penetration,communication,and integration have gradually strengthened,and the literature demands of archival science have also changed.Studying and mastering the literature demands of the archival science in time,which can provide a decision-making basis for the literature guarantee work of library,so as to further promote and consolidate the continuous development of archival science.The citation analysis method is based on the citation relationship of scientific papers.It can analyze and study the literature usage habits and literature requirements characteristics of users based on the characteristics of the author's citations.The citation analysis is the main method of quantitative analysis of literature demands studies,and there is no direct research on literature demands of archival science at present.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to systematically analyze the literature demands of archival science,and provide scientific references and reasonable suggestions for library collection construction and literature services.The paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter 1 is introduction.It introduces the background and research significance of this topic,summarizes and comments on the literature demands studies of domestic and foreign,and the similar research in archival science.Then it clarifies the research ideas,research methods and innovations of this paper.Chapter 2 is the source of data.This chapter elaborates the selection principles and standards of research sample,the acquisition method and operation,deduplication,types classification,time organizing principle of citation data,and the classification of subject attributes of journals,books,and dissertations.This paper intends to select all citation data of academic articles in CSSCI core source journals Archives Science Bulletin and Archives Science Study from 2013 to 2017 as research samples.Chapter 3 is data analysis.It makes a detailed analysis of the 15613 citation data from the perspective of publications and citations,the number,literature types,languages,time,disciplines of citations,and the highly cited literature.In addition,it compares the annual differences and trends of citations in various indicators from the time dimension.Chapter 4 is literature demands characteristic of archival science.This chapter summarizes the literature demands and change trends,and concludes the literature demands characteristics of archival science on the basis of data analysis.At present,the literature demands of Chinese archival science has been expanding continuously,which is in the stage of accelerated growth.In literature types,traditional research literature such as journals and books are the main types,and the proportion of various literature types is relatively stable.In languages,Chinese and English literatures can almost satisfy all the literature requirements of archives,and few other languages are focused only on a few scholars.In the ages,the span of the literature is large,and 80%of the literature was published in about 15 years.In disciplines,the self-citation rate of archival science is about 50%,and other disciplines are mainly from humanities and social sciences.Chapter 5 is literature guarantee proposals of archival science.It briefly puts forward literature guarantee proposals for archival science from four aspects based on the literature requirements characteristics.The library should be oriented by the literature demands of archive users,and reasonably allocate funds for purchasing literature.The library also should upgrade and improve academic service platform,and collect all kinds of special literature resources.It is also necessary to strengthen the inter-library cooperation among archival science in universities and institutions,and cooperate to guarantee scarce literature resources.In addition,a literature support team should be established to study and explore the law of literature demands if necessary.Chapter 6 is the conclusion and prospect.It reviews and summarizes this research,and indicates that there are some limitations in the research methods,insufficient representativeness of the samples,insufficient analysis accuracy.It also predicts the development direction of future research.
