Abstract/Summary:
China is a country which has many earthquakes, every earthquake disaster causedvarying degree of national life, living and economic loss. China Seismological Bureauaccumulated a lot of valuable land deformation monitoring data for earthquake prediction andresearch needs. However, due to various reasons, the preservation of these valuable data andapplication level is incompatible with the development of scientific and technological level ofearthquake. Some observational data is also stored on paper media, although most of theinformation has been digitized, it is still stored in document form, not included in the databasemanagement. Thus itis inconvenient toquery orretrieveof data and the use of data is inefficient,at the same time, the various departmentsare not conductive to data sharing.Although at thisstage the earth deformation database application has been carried out in some departments,but for confidentiality and security considerations and various reasons, it is still in theconflicts, lack of standardization and sharing. Therefore it is imperative to establish theintegrated geophysical field and flow observation system for data management andinformation service based on WebGIS technology.Silverlight as a RIA(Rich InternetApplication) technology, which contains both the C/S and B/S advantages, makes thecombination of Silverlight and WebGIS become a new trend.According to the demand of managing and servicing the Ordos peripheral observationdata, this paper based on ESRI’s ArcGIS Server, uses Oracle10g and ArcSDE as databasemanagement platform, adopts a service-oriented architecture (SOA),and utilizes the RIAtechnology based on Silverlight for system development. This system implements datamanagement, map basic operations, data query, analysis, and early warning, products andservices and other functions. It also provides user with mobile observation and dynamics ofbasic data and information data products to browser, query, search, share, draw and otherfunctions.Actual tests show that this system not only canbe a good mobile observation datamanagement and services, data sharing, but also it achieves the cost saving, simple update andimproves the efficiency of development. By using the rich client Silverlight technology, itallows users to operate the system with a richer experience. In this paper, the research for the Silverlight technology in the information system of management and service of GISapplications has some reference functions.
