Research On The Navigation Data Editing System Based On ArcGIS Server And WebGIS

The golden age of GIS industry has come, and the navigation industry is sprung up everywhere. Navigation electronic map is a core component of the navigation industry,and it is mainly used in three areas that is the car navigation, mobile navigation and the Internet application. The accurate, real-time and comprehensive navigation data is the soul of navigation electronic map. To this end, companies annually spent a lot of manpower and material resources to implement the navigation data updates.The editing and updating of navigation data has become to be a hot issue among enterprise and scientific research institutes.ArcGIS Server which is launched by ESRI is one products of ArcGIS family, one of which is a powerful server-based GIS products for building centrally managed, support multiple users, with advanced GIS functions and enterprise-class GIS applications and services.This thesis analyzed the structure and composition of Geodatabase model,the architecture and function of ArcSDE, researched the application programming interfaces of ArcSDE SDK, proposed the multi-user concurrent editing method, researches and analyzed the architecture and network configuration options of ArcGIS Server, explored the organizing of navigation data,the structure of navigation database and the principles of establishing navigation database, researched and analyzes the model and topology of the navigation data.This thesis researched and analyzed the choice of tools for system development,the configuration of system development environment, researched the software architecture of navigation data editing system, designed the navigation database. Finally, participated in the development of the navigation data editing system.In this paper,some functions of the ArcSDE C API was tested by programming, and the navigation data was imported by ArcCatalog to establish a Navigation database. In this thesis, a WebGIS-based navigation data editing prototyping system was built in the DOTNET development environment by the Web ADF development framework,and the editing functions was added into the prototyping system.The successful development of this system is bound to greatly reduce the company's manpower and material costs of navigation data updating, enhance their market competitiveness.
