Accompanied rapid economic development of China, Chinese steel industry hasexperienced unprecedented development for Chinese economic development, socialprogress and improving people’s lives has made important contributions. At the sametime, the simultaneous growth of economic globalization and every continent of theworld economy, for the development of the global steel industry has created a historicopportunity as well. In order to achieve the functions of the Association better, theChinese Iron and Steel Association need to make appropriate industry statistics,production of domestic and international metallurgical industry, business,infrastructure, technological transformation, trends, metallurgical products marketinformation collection and analysis, and authorized by the government depar tment incharge of the publishing industry information, comments and suggestions proposedeconomic policies and legislation on this basis to the relevant governmentdepartments involved in the development of industry planning, pre-feasibility studieson the major projects of the industry.The subject according to the demand of the Chinese steel industry, which is aheavy workload, high quality requirements, timeliness and based on data warehousetechnology, the Statistical annual report of the steel industry in-depth research.Firstly, the data warehouse technology to the overall concept elaborated analysisof the data warehouse architecture, lists the main features of the data warehouse.Secondly, this article focuses on the steel industry, the annual report system toconduct a comprehensive needs analysis, including index system: system businessrequirements analysis, data acquisition, collected, data processing, storage, andbusiness process analysis; analysis of system functions; and the analysis of the contentof the report provides a necessary prerequisite for the design and Implementation ofthe system of the Statistical Yearbook of the steel industry. Third ly, the paper detailedstudy of the design of the Annual Report, including the overall architecture of thesystem design, the index system design, corporate design and statistical reportingmodule design information. Finally, in accordance with the actual situation of thesystem, according to the different roles in the system given their specificimplementation steps, including the realization of corporate clients, business clients toachieve as well as administrators realize. Summarized in the Statistical Yearbook ofthe iron and steel industry based on data warehouse system applications, given the inadequacies of this article exists.
