Based On The Statistical Reporting System For Data Warehouse Design And Implementation

With development and wide application of the database technology, data processing was devided of the kinds: operational processing and analysis processing. Operational processing, which takes charge of business operation support based on traditional database technology, was called online transaction processing(OLTP); analysis processing, which can find the regulation and association from a large of data that can be the base of enterprise decision-making, was called online analysis processing(OLAP).The traditional OLTP emphasized on database update which means to add data into the database, but OLAP emphasized on taking information frrom database and using these. Data warehousing can resolve the problem of how take information from database. The emphases of enterprise's information-building also shift from database to data warehous.Data warehousing is the new emphases of the enterprise information-building, and the applications based on the data warehouse are different from each other. The report forms is an important dependence on which enterpise can know its business situation, make or modify the strategy of management and make a long term decision, so it is important of the veracity and betimes of the report forms. The traditional report forms system is based on the operational data, the disperse of data and time-base of the data can induce the error of the report forms; and the complexity of the report forms include several aspects such as which has a lot of data resource and the variability of the contains of report forms.In this paper, the design and the realization process of a data warehouse were given, and a report forms system was introduced in detail which was based on this new informatio platform. At first, the generation and the concept of data warehous were introduced in short, then the shortage of the report forms system based on the opeartional data was given. The architecture of the China mobile's business analysis system and the design process of the data warehouse were discussed, which included the subject of data warehouse, the management of the meta-data, etc. The method of the data extract-transform-load(ETL) was given. Because of based on the data warehouse, the new report forms system has the character of efficiency and extension, which is the basement of enterprise's information building development.
