Due to the continuous development of journalism, numerous news talents withhigh quality are needed by every country. Thus, higher journalism education,speciallyundergraduate education, must be also developed concurrently to provide accompanyingstrong assistance for journalism. In China, the modern training model of higherjournalism education is influenced by its distinguished history of development. Withdiversiform nations, unique social history and socialist ideology, China own itsuntouchable training model of higher journalism education. In comparison, Korea, as asingle-nationality state, is influenced by a lots different cultures and its training modelof higher journalism education is rich too. Although, there is not any direct interactionbetween Chinese higher journalism educations and Korean’s, considering the closerelationship between these two countries’history and culture, it is unreasonable to deemthat no relationship exists between their higher journalism educations. On the contrary,it is meaningful that compare Chinese and Korean higher journalism educations andfind their similarities and differences.By means of firstly taking example by other countries’ training model andexperience, Korean training model of higher journalism educations gradually developedto match its own unique social culture and concept. The main goal of Korean higherjournalism education is aimed at educating news talent to meet requirement of Koreansociety.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is introduction, in which, authorputs forward research motivation, introduces related concepts and research methods andconcludes research purpose and meaning. The second part forces on Korean higherjournalism education. Starting from origin and rheological of Korean journalismeducation, author generalizes characteristics of development of Korean higherjournalism education and researches corresponding training model. Finally, it issummarized that what kind of influence does the development of Korean higherjournalism education has on Korean modern training model. The third part is researching on Chinese higher journalism education and the paper structure andresearch contents are similar with the second part for better targeted and clearcomparison. The fourth part is specific comparing research on Chinese and Koreanhigher journalism education.
