Research On HLA-based Simulations Uniting Tool

Currently, the High Level Architecture (HLA) has become a generalspecification when developing distributed interactive simulation. The main purposeof HLA is to improve the interoperability and reusability in distributed interactivesimulation. The HLA-based simulation uniting technology focuses on achieving thejoint simulation of HLA systems and others. A HLA simulations uniting tool is atool to complete the above simulation task. It is necessary to research theHLA-based simulation uniting technology and its tool for it can realize themaximum utilization of simulation system, save costs and quickly build thesimulation system. This paper studies the simulation interconnection technology andtool as follows:Firstly, studies on the current HLA simulations uniting technology and toolcannot apply to other forms. This paper discussed common problems when unitingHLA-based simulation and many other kinds of simulations. The author putsforward the concept of HLA uniting simulation, and designs the architecture of it. Inaddition, the paper introduce the concept of the joined simulation, analyzes therequirements to the joined simulation.Secondly, the existing uniting tools either have FOM information in it, beingable to process complex data, or don’t have FOM information in it, being weaknessin processing complex data. In order to solve the above problem, a serious ofproblems needs to be solved. This paper studies the OMT-based FOM parsingtechnology to realize the interaction between HLA simulation tool and HLAsimulations with different FOM and get the data type information. Researches onFOM mapping technology on field level to transform complex data betweendifferent FOMs. Studies the simulation data parsing techniques to make the toolhandle the complex simulation data better; studies on technology of instancesreference to improve the flexibility of the tool and implement other functions.Studies time coordination technology to improve time coordination of HLA unitingsystem.Finally, with the assistance of architecture of HLA-based uniting simulation,the author realized function module and accomplishes the HLA-based simulationsuniting tool. The tool unites the federation of missile-gun air defense system and thefederation of air battle.
