Research Of The Data Collection System Of Grid Based Simulation Platform

With the drive of economic and military requirement, distributed simulation technology is developing rapidly, and is becoming the third tool for recognizing and rebuilding the objective world besides the theory research and experiment research. Data collection of the simulation application is an important content of distributed simulation research.Grid based Distributed Simulation Platform (GDSP) is the base infrastructure of service-oriented simulation supporting environment, which is combined with latest grid technology and HLA technology. By implementing data collection function in GDSP platform, we can use the distribution, standard, opening and high scalability advantages of grid architecture to solve the performance problem of data collection, and it also allows all simulation applications which use GDSP platform not to design their own data collection program separately, which reduces the simulation application developers'work.For this purpose, we design and implement the data collection system GSimCollector of Grid based Distributed Simulation Platform, and present Reliable and Orderly Data Recording Model, Playback-Oriented Ownership Transfer Mechanism and Time Advance Algorithm. Reliable and Orderly Data Recording Model describes the relationship of federates, RTI(Run Time Infrastructure)server and data record server, and it can avoid to record the events in an order which can not happen in real world. Playback-Oriented Ownership Transfer Mechanism guarantees normal execution sequence of GSimCollector system in simulation playback phrase. By transferring ownership, different federates can control a simulation instance cooperatively. Time Advance Algorithm is used to coordinate simulation processes and data collection process. Implementing Time Advance Algorithm in RTI can greatly reduce the impact of the data collection on simulation application.Through the system test, GDSP could well be applied to large scale distributed simulation system. Data collection system GSimCollector plays an important role in GDSP platform, it can effectively record simulation data and playback simulation process.
