| Grain output of China has been increasing in the last decade, grain storage capacity is very large, it is particularly important to do a good job in storage work. The granary environment directly affect the quality of grain, therefore the monitoring of granary is necessary. At present, the monitoring terminal which in granary and the PC that in the monitoring center station are connected by bus mode in most of the granary monitoring system. It requires a lot of communication cable between monitoring terminal and PC, the wiring is complicated, and because of the long transmission distance, the bus requires a higher quality for communication cable, which makes the cost very high. Once, there is a lightning stroke accident, it is likely to cause a large area or even the entire granary monitoring system damage. If the communication cable is aging and in need of replacement, the cost of maintenance and replace are higher. In this condition, it is urgent to develop a monitoring system for the granary which is convenient, reliable and intelligent.Aiming at the above defects, this paper proposed a design of granary monitoring system platform based on wireless sensor network. Wireless sensor network technology and GPRS technology are applied to monitoring the grain situation, it is a real-time, remote, wireless monitoring, which provides information and intelligent grain storage. The system platform is made up of the data collection module and the network coordinator module. The data collection module is responsible for collecting environmental parameters from granary which we need, such as temperature and humidity. Network coordinator module is responsible for networking and process the data that come from data collection module by wireless sensor network, final data is transmitted to the monitoring center by GPRS network. After a thorough research, comparison and analysis, we choose ZigBee technology to achieve wireless sensor network. Consider the chips, the mature and highly integrated chips such as CC2530and SIM300C are selected as the ZigBee module and GPRS module, the system has a more streamlined peripheral circuits and lower power consumption. Consider of the power consumption of the chip itself, the setting of the operating mode and circuit design, this granary monitoring system platform is researched and developed.This paper describes the hardware and software design in details, including sensor node as a data collection module and coordinator node for data long-distance transmission. Then, each part of system platform is debugged, and finally the overall system platform is tested and applied. The system runs stable and reliable, it satisfy the demand of intelligent monitoring for granary. The user just stay in the monitoring center can monitor the granary data information, it is more intuitive and convenient. It has great practical significance and application value. |
